He's awake

We are in the room now. Dick is awake and surprisingly lucid, given that he's only been out of surgery for a few hours. He has a single room in the new wing of the hospital, which is very nice. There's also a couch that folds down, so Sharon should have no problem staying with him tonight. Rev. Norm Coleman just came by for a visit, and Dick is now resting again. As with most patients after such major surgery, he is in some pain, but he has a button to regulate his pain medication and says he it only hurts when he tries to move. All in all, things seem to be going very well. I asked Dick if he had anything to say to his "public"... he just smiled. I'm glad to see him in good spirits.

HI Brian, please tell him that his forecast accuracy is 100% as always we expected that we was going to be a good patient and he is. His fans still prying. Regards to all =)

Sister, feeling a little better? We are! Jordan called about an hour and a half ago before class and wanted an update.
Tell Dick to be a good patient and you be a good nurse!
Love y'all! DJ

Dick, Sharon and Bryan,
Thanks for keeping us updated on all that is going on in Cincinnati.
Just be a good patient, get some rest and enjoy the pampering- are there any restrictions on diet, activity, etc.?? We are continuing to pray for your speedy recovery! Keep us posted!
Love,
Cindy, Bill and family
