Here are a few details on the radiation process:
- I was fitted with a mask that insures my head is held in exactly the same place for each treatment. There are targets on the mask that are lined up with lasers. Today they took an x-ray to confirm the exact position again.
- Once I am in position, radiation is delivered twice - once from each side of my head.
- There are lots of computer controls as well as mechanical leaves that control the exact pattern and location of the radiation.
- The treatment itself only takes about five minutes. Unfortunately that doesn't include travel time, waiting time, etc. In the end this will be a fairly time consuming activity each day.

Dick - save the mask for Halloween, it makes a terrific Freddy Kruger costume.
